The new 2009 Interfaith Luncheons will be held four times yearly at First Presbyterian Church, 8th & Scott Streets, Little Rock.

Employee Free Choice Act- Debate

The University of Arkansas at Little Rock's Bowen School of Law is hosting a debate over the Employee Free Choice Act. This debate will be held on September 14, 2009. At 12:00 p.m. there will be a brief lunch and introduction into what the Employee Free Choice Act is. At 5:30p.m. the debate will begin between Judge Wendell Griffen and Senator Gilbert Baker. There is limited seating and will be on a first come first served basis. Please call in advance for any questions you may have. Thank you.

 

 

AICWJ Banquet - October 24, 2009

The Arkansas Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice’s annual Bishop Andrew J. McDonald Awards Banquet location and details to be posted soon.

There will be four awards given to persons in the community for their outstanding  service on behalf of working men and women.  The awards to be presented this year are:

2009 Labor Day Picnic

            Location:  Governor's Mansion, Little Rock, AR

            Cost of Admission: FREE

 

What to expect:   Meet and greet brothers and sisters of Labor.  Celebrate the day designated to honor those in Labor with food, games, prizes, face-painting and a chance to meet local/state politicians.
