LUNCHEONS

The new 2008 Interfaith Luncheons will be held four times yearly at First Presbyterian Church, 8th & Scott Streets, Little Rock.

Cost: $7 per person - click to sign up in advance:

February 14 - Celebrating Black History Month (guest speaker: Candis Collins)

April 17 - Commemorating Workers Memorial Day (guest speaker: Tom Karson, UALR Labor Education)

July 24 -  Preparing for Labor in the Pulpits (guest speaker TBA)

November 20 - Thanksgiving Luncheon (open format - bring a guest)

 

APRI BIRTHDAY CELEBRATION - DINNER

The A. Philip Randolph Birthday Celebration will be held on April 15th at Deliverance Temple Church of God in Christ,

4707 Atkins Street in North Little Rock, beginning at 6:30 p.m.  Rev. Ronald Watkins, Pastor of the host Church will be

the guest speaker.  Tickets are $20 each or a table of eight for $160.00.  To reserve a ticket(s) please call Herman

Bryant, President of the Pulaski County Chapter of APRI at 375-1348.

 

 

AICWJ Banquet 2008 - SAVE THE DATE

The Arkansas Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice’s annual Bishop Andrew J. McDonald Awards Banquet will be held Saturday September 27, 2008.  Location and details to be posted soon.

There will be four awards given to persons in the community for their outstanding  service on behalf of working men and women.  The awards are:

2008 Labor Day Picnic

            Sponsored by the Central Arkansas Labor Council

            Date & Time:  Monday, September 1, 2008 (time to be announced)

            Location:  Governor's Mansion, 1800 Center Street, Little Rock

            Cost of Admission: FREE

 

What to expect:   Meet and greet brothers and sisters of Labor.  Celebrate the day designated to honor those in Labor with food, games, prizes, face-painting and a chance to meet local/state politicians.
