Arkansas Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice
Mission
Our vision is to be in partnership to mobilize the religious and labor communities, and serve as an advocate for the rights of workers and their families.
Our vision affirms that we are a legitimate religious voice and that organized labor is vital to the achievement of social and economic justice.
The religious and labor communities share these beliefs:
- The inherent dignity of every human being.
- Everyone has the right to be treated with respect, regardless of creed, age color or ability.
- Everyone should have the opportunity to have a decent standard of living.
To fulfill these beliefs, the Arkansas Interfaith Committee for Worker Justice seeks the following for all people:
- The right to a job with a livable wage.
- The right to organize in the workplace.
- The right to negotiate the terms and conditions of employment.
- The right to work in a safe and healthy, workplace, free from discrimination.
- The right to prepare for a secure and healthy future.
